Packaging decides how a skincare product feels before it is even opened. As we enter 2026, the brief from our international clients is clearer than ever: lighter, greener, and still premium on the shelf. Here are five trends shaping orders in our factory this year.
1. Refillable and reusable formats
Brands are moving from single-use premium to refill systems — a sturdier outer jar with a replaceable inner pouch. It reads as sustainable and still gives the customer the heavy-glass tactile experience.
2. Weightless but strong
Thinner walls with the same rigidity mean lower freight cost per container and lower carbon footprint. We routinely downgauge a jar body by 6–12% without changing the drop test performance.
3. Matte and soft-touch finishes
Matte coating, soft-touch paint and micro-frosting have replaced high-gloss as the default “premium” signal. They also hide fingerprints, which customers read as quality.
4. Mono-material construction
One material for body and closure is easier to recycle. When a brand targets EU markets, we now recommend mono-material designs wherever the sealing requirement allows.
5. Smaller runs, faster design cycles
Launch batches are shorter. Our tooling team can bring a new jar concept to a physical sample in days, so a design can be tested in market before a full tool is cut.
