A dropper bottle looks simple, but the wrong combination of glass and actuator can ruin a volatile oil formula. This guide covers what to specify before you place an order.
Standard sizes
- 5ml / 10ml — sampling, clinical trials, VIP gifts
- 15ml / 20ml / 30ml — the retail essential oil range
- Bottle: cylinder, cone, taper, straight-shoulder
Glass type matters
For essential oils, soda-lime glass is common and cost-effective. Borosilicate is safer when the formula is highly acidic or heated during filling. Both are available; the difference shows up on the shelf in clarity and thermal stability.
Actuator: glass or PP
A glass pipette delivers a consistent drop and is preferred by premium brands. A PP (plastic) dropper is lighter, cheaper and drop-ship friendly for e-commerce. We make both, and the same bottle can be fitted with either.
Compliance paperwork
Export orders normally ask for: REACH declaration, FDA food-contact or cosmetic-contact statement where applicable, GPSR conformity documentation for the EU, and a valid material safety data sheet. We supply all of these with every shipment.
